介绍：I　am　Phil,　an　unusually　large　and　inanely　wise　Canadian　with　a　love　of　history,　food,　and　cigars.　In　addition　to　several　years　of　teaching　in　China,　I　have　experience　in　business　management,　sales,　marketing,　writing,　and　entertainment　-　both　in　Xi'an　and　Toronto.　I　am　direct　and　honest,　and　I　don't　mind　saying　(or　teaching)　things　that　others　are　reluctant　to.　Speaking　a　new　language　is　a　skill　that　needs　to　be　developed　through　experience,　use,　and　questions,　not　memorizing　text　books　or　relying　on　an　electronic　dictionary.　A　student　without　questions　is　not　a　real　student,　so　I　expect　a　lot　of　questions　and　the　willingness　to　admit　when　you　don't　understand　something.

New　Jersey,　USA.　My　major　areas　of　interest　are　sociology
and　anthropology,　which　focus　on　how　people　interact　and
form　communities.　I　have　a　great　interest　in　language　and
language-learning　and　have　spent　a　lot　of　time　researching
and　studying　it.　I　also　spent　time　working　with　immigrant
students　back　in　my　home　country.　The　keys　to　learning
language　are　to　practice　and　to　ask　questions,　so　I
encourage　all　my　students　to　come　to　me　if　they　don't
understand　something　or　if　they　just　want　to　talk.
