Nowadays, with lots of potential jobs to choose from, people have different views towards whether a young person should do several different kinds of jobs before they decide a lifetime career. As far as I am concerned, I don't think that young people should take many different jobs before they settle down into a future career. There are several reasons to support my idea. Here, I intend to explain a couple of them.

First of all, it is a waste of time and energy for young people to take several different kinds of jobs before they decide on a future career. Time is very precious, and young people should instill their wisdom into a right job. What's more, it is also a waste of time and recourses for the companies, because these companies have to spend a lot of money and equipments on training new employees. Thus, most companies are not willing to hire young people who frequently change jobs.

In addition, it is said that young people who persist in one job are more likely to succeed than those hopping from one job to another. As we all know, perseverance is the key to success. If a person wants to become successful in a career, he/ she must have a good knowledge of that filed, which requires them to devote lots of their time and efforts to this career. For instance, according to a news report, there are two young brothers who want to pursue their dreams in Beijing. At the beginning, they all worked as waiters in a restaurant. One of them felt tired and bored from this job. Then he quitted this job and has changed several jobs. Now he is still a waiter in a small restaurant. The other continues to try his best to do this job, and finally he becomes the manager of this restaurant. Hence, people staying a longer time in a job are more inclined to succeed.

Admittedly, taking many jobs before settling down into a career job might accumulate young people's working experiences. However, the frequently switching careers will probably increase their mental pressure and give them the impression that they are not good at anything, which will have a bad effect on young people's health. Consequently, young people might lose their motivation to pursue their dreams.

To sum up, concluding from what I have said above, I firmly insist that young people should not do several different kinds of jobs before they decide a future career.
