I agree with the statement because computers and technology would change the way children think and what they learn. The unique value of computer as a learning device is no longer in question. For instance, by presenting concrete ideas in a symbolic medium, the computer helps bridge the two. Computer presentations are often more manageable, flexible and extensible. When I was in university, there were quite a few class presentations that required powerpoint slides and class demos. With the help of computer, I put the information in a visual way and the computer environment offered greater control to me. It was super time-saving as it helped me to get rid of the complicated class notes and dozens of books. Therefore, the computer manipulatives were just as meaningful and easier to use for learning.
