　　Compared with natural sciences, the first unique advantage of arts like humanities and fine arts is that it serves as a rudder, which plays an essential role in moulding magnificent qualities of people. For example, a plenty of literary masterpieces and poems not only express the impressive feelings in the world, which were sentimental and natural, but also inspire us with ideas about love, faith, morality and kindness. By reading them, people would become more righteous, virtuous and charitable.

　　In addition, the effects of arts on relieving people's mental stress are incomparable. Generally speaking, modern technologies like computers, cell phones and the Internet are the root of information overload that traps contemporary people in nervousness and anxiety. The ideal solution to this mental suffering is definitely the arts. 　　Science is mainly based on facts: but the arts are always closely related to fancy. Specifically； science represents reality: whereas the arts simply reflect individuals5 personal beliefs and emotions. The purpose of science is to discover the absolute truth in the universe: For instance, the earth goes around the sun and apples fall from trees to the ground In contrast, visualization, metaphor and fascination are important factors that the arts value. It seems ridiculous to evaluate some forms of arts as right or wrong because different people tend to have diverse interpretations for the same style of arts. In other words；science demands standardization and common sense. However: the arts encourage imagination and creativity.
