　　As more and more work has been done by machines nowadays, the issue of whether its negative effects overweight its positive effects is of great interest to the public. From my point of view, there are more advantages in the usage of machines on individuals and society.

　　The first merit of the practice is that the efficiency of work could be improved substantially by machines compared to that by manuals. As we all know, every human being needs time to relax after working a period, and what’s more, all of us have some emotions more or less which may influence the quality of work. However, machine could keep working without a rest and complaint, which makes sure the quality and progress, and then increases the profit for our society. For instance, with the help of modern farming machines, a farm worker can couple with ten times more farmland than he used to do in a traditional manual way. It not only cuts down the number of working staffs which reduces the cost, but also rises the incomes. So the usage of machines can increase the efficiency of work significantly.

　　And meanwhile, by using machines, we are safer in some particular work which is dangerous for people. There are lots of accidents of coal mines in China which kill hundreds of people every year. If some machines such as robots could be introduced to the underground workspace, the tragedies may decline markedly. And also, with more and more advanced machines are equipped in rescue teams, the rescue progress of disasters such as earthquakes is more efficiency and effectively.

　　What’s more, for some tame work being taking over by machines, there are more people involving in areas which require creativity and innovation. The development of the society depends on the advance of science and technology. When an increasing number of workers devote to creative work, it can accelerate the development of society, which is a blessing for all the people around the world.

　　In spite of increasing number of people losing jobs slightly by the widely using of machines, people can still find a decent job through improving their personal skills and abilities. So it is safe to say that the development of machines has more advantages on individuals and society.
