I strongly think that employees should be allowed to listen to music at work for the following reasons.

One reason is that some music, like pop music, is so comfortable and relaxing that can relieve the working pressure. Modern employees are often exposed to high pressure because the busy and speed hob forced them always rush forward. Music can relax their tension and help them concentrate on the work better.

Another reason is that, music sometimes is far more than the music itself. It can give us a lot of inspirations and ideas which are helpful to our work. For example, I used to upset about the grammar teaching, but occasionally I click a song in my computer to release my anxiety, a creative idea occurs in my mind that I can teach the grammar through the lyrics, and many songs all have some essential grammars that can be acquired well by students.

Thus, I contend that listening music at work can bring more benefits than the disadvantages.
