I would like to give three compelling reasons to support the prohibition of keeping pets in dormitories. Firstly, college life is pretty busy so students hardly have time to finish their assignment let alone taking care of pets. Secondly, raising pets has a negative impact on students by distractingtheir attention from studies. If a little cute pet, like a cat or dog, play with their toys beside me while I am finishing my assignments, it is very likely that I would stop my work and start to play with my pet. Also, pets are often expensive and too much money spent on pets is improper since students’ money is mainly from their parents.
