According to recent demographic investigations in some countries, there has been a steady growth in the proportion of younger generation who are under fifteen (including fifteen). This has aroused great public concerns in these countries about the social problems that may rise with the growth of this generation. In this essay, I will analyze this issue mainly in terms of future effects on education and employment.

Firstly, this increase in younger generation may lead to heavy burden on and deterioration of different levels of education. When a large number of youngsters are growing to schooling ages, they are in demand of a matching education, which can hardly be met by the present resources. On one hand, they have to be faced with intensified schooling competition, which means a bigger percentage of them will drop out of school before going to college. On the other hand, the quality of education will face deterioration because a poorly skilled faculty might be employed to fill the shortage of teachers.

Secondly, the job market will suffer the most from the ever increasing pressure on employment. With the increasing number of young candidates applying for jobs, there will be relatively smaller chances for each candidate to pin a position, which will inevitably result in unprecedented fierce competition. This competition will last until even younger generations are ready for work, thus cause accumulation in unemployment rate. At best, it takes tolls in family income; at worst, it may give rise to social instability and even economic depression.

The effects of this phenomenon can really be manifold and complex. However, with this extraordinary baby-booming looming large, we may only pray that the forming of a beat generation merely remain a nightmare.
