With the furious competition of the education today, children now are busy to catch up with each other in studying. They study hard at school and even take various extracurricular classes after school, which there is no time for them to do other things, like doing household chores. However, personally I strongly support them to realize the significance of doing housework, which cannot be replaced by playing and studying.

On the one hand, it is doing household chores that will help children learn how to live by themselves, for they need to do these things in the future when they leave their parents to live independently. As we all know, there is no one who can help you clean your house, and they have no responsibility to wash your clothes and cook the meals for you, besides you have no capability to do that, just like you is going to be vegetative.

On the other hand, doing household chores may assist students to exercise their body, for they are able to stretch their bodies by washing, sweeping and even cooking. In some respect, doing these things might be more of an exercise rather than a boring task. So, why not regard it as a sport? And, even nowadays, since going everywhere can use cars and also send letter using mail as well; as a result, people will add up weight easily; however, to do the housework can help you to exercise routinely and help you to get rid of the problem of obesity so that you can have a strong and healthy body.

On the contrary, compared with the study, it seems that doing house chores is not so important, which, however, does not means children do not need to learn that at all. After all, they need to learn this when they live without their parents in the end and when there is no one to help you clean the house.

For all the reasons given above, I hold the opinion that children need to do household chores besides playing and studying.
