Whether we are at school, in a company or in an institution, we can never avoid coming across unexpected problems. When dealing with these problems, some people believe that people should be creative in order to solve problem perfectly rather than plan carefully. While I insist that planning carefully is a better way than being creative.

To be honest, I concede that being creative sometimes does solve certain problems. When we are stuck during a bottleneck period or when we are dealing with some conventional problems, being creative may throw light on the solution. That is the only positive effect of being creative, since we cannot ensure whether this creative solution can solve the problems forever or just works for a while. If it does not solve the root cause, even though it works, we have to find another way to solve the same problem after its minor effect. Hence, being creative is not the optimal choice when we are faced with tough problems.

However, a good plan can present us clear instructions of every movement when we are dealing with problems. With the instructions of a plan, we can solve problems step by step and have a good control of the solving process in case of more problems occurring during that process. Even supposed that some new problems do appear, we can notice them immediately and figure out effectively by looking over the implementation process of the plan, and solve all of the problems in the end.

In addition, a good plan can guarantee a good result during solving problems to the maximum extend. When we come across sometroubles, we can figure out several plans to get those troubles down. Through analyzing those several plans, we can choose the most effective one to apply in the practice in order to get the consummate result. Therefore, if you want a guarantee for a perfect solution for your troubles, a careful plan is what you need most.

In conclude, I prefer to plan carefully with a guarantee of a good solution when we solve problems rather than rely on being creative, which is quite unreliable, since a good plan provides exact control over the solving process, which reduces the risk of failure of the final result.
