原因1：富人有钱把孩子们送入一流的大学，获取一流的教育和学位，这对于找到一份体面的，收入较高的工作是关键;而穷人的孩子则只能早早的就辍学打工，这意味着他们永远无法获得事业上的升迁和成功。

原因2：富人有着资本优势，他们可以通过投资来扩大自己的生意，而穷人则必须把所有的钱都花在生活开销上，缺乏足够的资金来开启自己的生意。

如何消除贫富差距：政府应该增加教育预算，让更多的处在贫困之中的孩子们有机会来获得教育。同时，政府也应该增加对于社会医疗和福利的投入，比如说建立更多的医院和住房，这能让穷人们过上稳定的生活。

Economic inequality is the root of social unrest. In many parts of the world the gap between the rich and the poor is getting wider. While this phenomenon is increasing, this essay intends to discuss the reasons and ways to reduce this problem.

While education has becoming an important matter to facilitate one's to get a better job, the rich are able to send their children to study in good university. Moreover, they tend to send the children to study abroad while that the poor only depend on work experiences or only able to study from local universities. In turn, it is undeniable that today's world, most company still prioritizing to hire an overseas graduate. Therefore, the poor would only have a slight chance. Apart from that, in term of business, it is the rich that has the ample fund to expand their business, making more profit by investing in advertisement, making promotion or perhaps decorate their shop to attract more customer while that the poor only able to make homemade business that depend on "worth of mouth" to make promotion.

To narrow the gap between ''haves'' and ''have-nots'' is priority of any responsible government of any political color. What then should the government do? Helping the poor by destroying the rich sounds like revolution? Doing nothing seems defining poverty as parent of crimes. All promises and religion and patriotism and virtues are nothing but shadow of words when the hungry are starving. The policy of social welfare may contribute to much of relief for some suffering from extreme poverty. An increased budget for education may create opportunities for those whose parents cannot afford tuitions. Building more public hospitals may make medical care more accessible to the miserable. Giving shelters to the homeless may cut the number of the less fortunate sleeping in the streets. These, among other measures to get rid of poverty, are good signs. Yet, they are not enough. It still leaves much work to be done more effectively to achieve better economic equality.

For the reasons mentioned above, gap between rich and poor are becoming obvious and with the steps mentioned above, rich and poor should work hand-in-hand to eradicate the gap. The government on the other hand should provide fair opportunity between the rich and the poor by considering their social background.

It is high time that we took effective actions to solve such a pressing problem.It is the most important measure to develop education, so that every citizen can have the equal chance to accept school education and the youths can compete fairly with each other. Second, the tax system should be reformed in order to make sure that every citizen is imposed according to their earning, at the same time, the social security system should be perfected to ensure that even the poorest can live in warm.
