That technology advances and innovates rapidly makes hi-tech products become increasingly important in our daily life. Accordingly, it is recently stated that parents can’t control children because they are influenced by TV, radio and the outside world. As for me, this view is partly correct and reasonable due to the following reasons.

The first reason to be taken into account is based on the premise that children have the access to and availability to those media and outside world products. It is known to all that hi-tech products such as Tv and radio have become an indispensable part in our daily life, which makes it possible for children to watch TV and listen to radio as long as they like. Generally speaking, in order to pursue high rates of audience, some tv or radio programs are filled with violence, scandals and something like that, which is really harmful to children’s mental and psychological development as well as their value of the world. In this case , maybe they would think what the programs show is true and sometimes behave according to them.

Furthermore，it is social environment that makes children not close to their parents. Commonly, as the pace of life is accelerating, an increasing number of adults are busy with their work and have no time to look after their children. So those children must stay alone and cope with their daily problems independently. In order to achieve these, they would find solutions from other resources, such as tv or radio. As a consequence, they are easily influenced and their parents can’t control them.

Admittedly, parenting plays a pivotal role in their children’s growth. Children are living with their parents since they were born, and to some extent, they have developed obedience to their parents and have developed close family bonds with them. In this case, parents can control their children and give them guidance and care.

Thus, from my perspective, although parents can give some advice and guidance to their children, children are more likely to be influenced by some other things.
