　　My favorite transport is bicycle,a common means of transportation in China. Like most of my friends, I ride bicycle to school almost every day. I think bicycles have three advantages. First,a bicycle is not expensive to own. We do not have to worry about the gas price soaring up,nor do we need to care about the high cost of the maintenance. Whats more,riding a bicycle is good for your health. Nowadays,due to the fast pace of life,we seldom have the chance to do exercises. Thus,riding a bicycle offers us the opportunity to exercise our bodies and in this way it will do good to our health. Third, riding a bicycle is comparatively safer in the street than riding other means of transportation. Accidents caused by bicycles seldom occur on the road. However, bicycle, are not without its limitations. The speed of bicycle is limited. In addition, bicycles are of little use when we want travel a long journey,because it's rather energy consuming to cover a long distance by riding a bicycle. Despite its defects, I like riding bicycles because, as a student,I can afford one. Besides, riding a bicycle gives me a sense of safety on the road. I really enjoy riding the bicycle.

　　ere I'd like to talk about an event which brought me great happiness,though in others, eyes it was a very common thing. It was a snowfall. You know, I was born and grew up in southern China,where snow is a rare thing. So I was amazed when I saw snow for the first time in my life.

　　It was in my first college year in Beijing. I was sleeping soundly when the sudden cry "It is snowing" woke me up. I got dressed quickly and ran out of the dorm. I couldn't believe my eyes at that time when I saw a white world outside. Everything trees, roofs,ground was covered with snow. For a moment,I had the illusion that the world would remain under a great white blanket forever and stay pure and beautiful.

　　When I went to the playground there had been groups of people playing with snow merrily. Environment and atmosphere engendered a feeling of happiness in everybody. Soon I joined them and we played in the snow together. We threw snow balls at each other,running and laughing to our hearts content. We made a tall snowman and took many photos.

　　It was an unforgettable event in my life,because it was, after all,the first snow I had touched.

　　Thanks to development in technology,we are able to communicate much easier than before. Telephone,fax,and Internet bring so much convenience to our daily life. However, if possible,I still prefer writing a letter to a friend or relative in ink instead of striking the keys on a keyboard. Writing and reading a letter is not only for the sake of telling about something,but a way to make the reader share the feelings of the writer. After a day's snowing, the ground,trees and buildings were all covered with white snow,and the air was so fresh that you couldn't help taking more deep breath. Then you thought of one of your good friends in the far south,and you were eager to let him share the beauty of such a snowy night. You just took out a piece of dark blue paper on which you could write down your fondness and sentiment with white fluorescent pen. Then you sealed it well, and put it into a mailbox. A letter with your feelings would arrive at your friend within a few days.
